Assignment Three

 

Assignment three was a group project. We became screenwriters, directors, and actors for our very own short film. The film combines the characters from each of our individual subjects, united by a familiar face (Zack Galifiankis) parodying Funny or Die's “Between Two Ferns.” Personally, I wish I wasn't such a terrible actor so that the execution would've been more on point. Nonetheless, I still think it's pretty amusing for a project we did in a short amount of time (approximately a week or so... with some time in between). The background noise is still a bit intrusive, but we did label each segment for clarity as duly noted from the class workshop. In hindsight, I wish I would've planned better for this assignment by accruing costumes, using better camera/recording equipment, and practicing the script. I knew nothing about editing, and luckily, I did not have to deal with that part of the assignment. Instead, I had to bring the concept to life with a funny script and the right atmosphere. Unfortunately, there were some modifications to the script to make the film more “classroom friendly”, but that was a just point. Overall, I'm satisfied with the final product. And that's a wrap!
